OpenFarm is a community for leading growers and food processors to discuss innovation and technology to promote financial and environmental sustainability. While new technologies based on data provide new opportunities for solving important problems, solutions must be accessible to all parts of the operation and demonstrate a clear impact. Hear from experts on some of the biggest hurdles in agriculture today. OpenFarm is based on community values (“open house”) and best industry practices (“open source”).
Please join us for the 2021 industry panel of OpenFarm. We are just coming out of the COVID pandemic that forced us to work remotely using digital productivity tools. It is a good time to assess what the state of the digital transformation of the Food sector is. From orchards to processing facilities we see new skills emerging. For instance, there are hundreds of new jobs in water management and vehicle automation in the field. New decision support tools are available in the back office to identify cost saving measures in a volatile market. The common theme is that the staff should be able to use new tools to remain competitive while complying with new regulatory requirements.
